Become an EVENTBay Organizer!

By creating and selling tickets for an event on EVENTBay (“the Platform”), you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Independent Event Organizer You, the event host, are solely responsible for the planning, management, promotion, safety, and execution of your event. The Platform acts only as a ticketing and payment processing service and does not organize, operate, or take part in the execution of any events listed on the site.
   
2. Limitation of Liability The Platform is not responsible for any issues arising from your event, including but not limited to cancellations, postponements, injuries, damages, lost property, or dissatisfaction from attendees. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EVENTBay, its employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses related to your event.
   
3. Refunds & Customer Disputes You are responsible for setting and clearly communicating your refund and cancellation policy. You agree to handle any customer service inquiries or disputes related to your event in a timely and professional manner. The Platform reserves the right to issue refunds to customers in the event of non-delivery or failure to meet reasonable expectations.
   
4. Accuracy of Information You agree to provide accurate and truthful information about your event, including dates, times, locations, and descriptions. Any false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in your event being removed from the Platform without notice.
   
5. Compliance with Laws You are responsible for ensuring your event complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and local bylaws, including (but not limited to) health and safety, insurance, venue capacity, permits, and accessibility requirements.
   
6. Prohibited Events You agree not to use the Platform to promote or sell tickets for events that involve illegal activities, hate speech, violence, discrimination, or any content that may reasonably cause harm to attendees or the public. The Platform reserves the right to refuse or remove any event listing at its discretion.
   
7. Platform Fees By listing an event, you agree to the applicable service fees and understand that ticket revenue will be disbursed according to the payment terms set by the Platform. The Platform is not responsible for any tax collection or remittance on your behalf unless otherwise agreed.
   

Cancelled Events

We understand there are times when organizers need to postpone, reschedule, or cancel their event. This section explains EVENTBay's policy for cancelled events and how refunds must be handled.

Definitions

• Postponed - the event is expected to take place at a future date, but has not yet been rescheduled
• Rescheduled - the event is scheduled to take place on a new date, which is reflected in the event details and has been communicated to attendees
• Cancelled - the event will not be taking place on the scheduled date and will not be rescheduled within 90 days.

Requirements

When an event is cancelled, the event organizer is required to:

• Cancel the event on EVENTBay
• Communicate with attendees
  • Share timely and accurate information about the event cancellation with their attendees
• Refund all orders
  • When organizers cancel their event, they must refund all attendees.

If the organizer fails to handle refund requests in accordance with the above terms, EVENTBay reserves the right to issue refunds on their behalf and at cost to the organizer.

What happens to the event's payout?

When an event is cancelled, EVENTBay holds the event payout to allow refunds to be processed.
